DOUBLE WALL WATERPROOFING, NEW FOR 2026
Built for weather, from the inside out.
Every Barrel, Cube and Cube Wide sauna is now built with a sealed double-wall construction: a 42 mm solid timber wall, a continuous waterproofing layer, and 18 mm W-profile exterior cladding. Hidden beneath the exterior finish, the waterproofing layer helps protect the timber structure from moisture.

Waterproofing
A waterproofing layer applied directly to the timber wall.

Modern cladding
W-profile cladding creates a clean, modern facade while adding an extra outer layer.

Warranty
24 months
warranty against water penetration.
THE CONSTRUCTION
The cladding defines the look.
The protection goes deeper.
The W-profile cladding gives the sauna its clean, modern exterior in thermowood or spruce. Hidden beneath it is a continuous waterproofing layer, applied directly to the 42 mm timber wall to help protect the structure from moisture through changing seasons.
What you see
W-profile cladding in spruce or thermowood, shaped to follow the form of each Barrel or Cube sauna model.

What protects it
The wall is built in three functional layers: solid timber, continuous waterproofing and exterior W-profile cladding.
1. Solid timber wall
Solid spruce or thermowood, the structural core of the wall.
2. Remmers waterproofing
Universal Remmers MB 2K+ waterproofing system applied directly to the 42 mm timber wall to protect the main structure from moisture.
3. W-profile cladding
The facade you see and touch, spruce or thermowood.

Three layers, one protected wall system
The waterproofing sits between the solid timber wall and the cladding as one continuous layer, not as a patch or a coating applied afterwards. Together, the three layers form a wall system designed to keep moisture away from the main timber structure.

Before you buy
Questions worth answering upfront
What exactly does the 24-month warranty cover?
It covers water penetration through the wall on any Barrel, Cube, Cube Wide or TAVO sauna built with the double-wall waterproofing construction, plus production defects on every sauna regardless of wall type. It does not cover natural wood aging, weathering, or wear.
Does this apply to thermowood as well as spruce?
Yes. The double-wall waterproofing construction is available in both spruce and thermowood across Barrel, Cube and Cube Wide models.
Can I still order a single-wall sauna?
Yes. Selected Barrel, Cube, Cube Wide and ThermaSauna models can still be ordered with single-wall construction. The standard 24-month warranty still applies, but water-penetration coverage is only included with the double-wall waterproofing option. TAVO models include double-wall construction as standard.
How is the sauna delivered and installed?
Each sauna is delivered fully assembled and painted, based on a standard configuration that can be customised with optional features to suit your needs. The customer is responsible for preparing a suitable level base and arranging the crane for unloading and placement. Once the sauna is in position, only the final connections remain: the chimney for a wood-burning heater, or electrical installation for an electric heater.
